Power Up Canada - Canadian Tzeporah Berman Announces Vblog from Copenhagen Climate Summit
VANCOUVER, Dec. 4 /CNW/ - Tzeporah
Berman today released the first vblog in a program to provide
play-by-play analysis of the UN climate summit in Copenhagen for Canadians. The video is a pep talk to Stephen Harper to stop "underestimating" Canadians and join the "new economy of the 21st century." www.zerocarboncanada.ca
"Obama is outspending Canada 14 to 1 on green stimulus, Europe is way out ahead, Japan
is way more efficient," Berman says in the video. "But Canadians aren't
quitters." "And anyone who gets up on stage with Yo-Yo Ma isn't a
quitter."
In Berman's video blog she calls on Harper to "stop underestimating
Canadians" and pointed to examples of world-leading innovations such as
insulin, heartvalves and the zipper (!).
Explaining the strategy behind the video campaign Berman says: "Canada
is taking so much criticism abroad because everyone can see that the
government is not even trying. We are not even matching US efforts. But
Canadians aren't defeatists."
The video will be released on Facebook, YouTube, twitter and enews to hundreds of thousands of Canadians who are PowerUP Canada supporters or CARP members.
Tzeporah has been one of Canada's leading environmental voices
for over a decade and is now the Executive Director and one of the

recommendations to the last federal budget were supported by large
citizens groups such as CARP (Canadian Association of Retired
Professionals) and many opinion leaders, including five former Prime
Ministers, leading academics and Canadian celebrities. Recently
